I just finished a crazy fall semester with 19 credits. In order to be successful at completing those 19 credits, I have been working pretty much non-stop for the past three months. About half way through I realized I had gotten used to the 12+ hour days and could handle them, but it sure felt good to turn in that final paper and feel satisfied with all the work I completed.
Over the past week, I've been keeping myself busy getting ready for Christmas, baking cookies, making soup, and starting to work out again. These past couple days, I've finally been able to turn it all off and spend some SERIOUS lazy time.
Earlier today, Seth, Tucker, and I just sat on the couch for a couple hours watching "Along Came Polly" on TV. Not the greatest movie, but it was amazing having nothing hanging over my head. I could just relax and let go, enjoying the experience of simply being close to the ones I love (yes, I love Tucker.)
Tomorrow, we're headed out to Seattle for a rainy Christmas with my family. Hopefully more easy, lazy days to recover from the insanity of the semester.
